For economic development to work, other conditions must be in place. Sustainable development: kuznet"s effect as a country develops economically, income distribution will be more unequal before it becomes equal. Less than 20 countries out of 100 are en route to successful democracies: majority of transition countries are neither democracies or dictatorship. Low levels of participation: abuse of law by government.
