The scientific study and classification of plants. Roots: are important because roots anchor the plants to the soil and are involved in the uptake of water and nutrients. Length and shaped of the root determines the soil. In dry conditions the root would be longer. The stem allows for the exchangment of activities. Nutrients are transported from roots to leaves through the stem. Photosynthesis: leaves will absorb the suns light waves and reflect the green. Forms chemical energy to capture carbon dioxide to make sugar. Flowers: reproductive organs because they have the capacity to make seeds for future use. Plants come in the form of flowers known as angiosperms. You do not need to form a seed to be a plant (for example moss and fern release spores to create future generation) Plants have the capacity to use sunlight liberating oxygen and the energy is used to take carbon dioxide to make sugar and make other compounds in the plant.
