September 22nd (ecosystem: ecosystem: community of living organisms in conjunction with non-living components interacting as a system, organisms rely on one another to survive; any imbalance could throw the ecosystem, or would cause it to change. Increasing temperature + increasing environmental modification + migration species has such a diversity of niches. October 4th (introduction to cells) simple cells -> complex cells -> multicellular: food: cells eat tiny things (smaller cells, dead cell pieces (organic). Cells used to eat each other, and they just stopped (no one really knows why): prokaryotic cell, eukaryotic cell first type of cell to evolve, very simple (made of cell membrane, cytoplasm, the flagella, Dna floating around in the nucleoid region) and is 0. 1-10 um our type of cell; very advanced, and much bigger than prokaryotic cell (made up of cytoplasm, has a nucleus (separate space for dna), and has multiple membranes). We have billions of cells with different functions.
