Modernity: the era that is characterized by technological advancements in industrialism and urbanization. Capitalism: focusses on mode of production, profits, wage labour, and tech. advancements. Neoliberalism: market-driven economy, promotes free markets with little government interference. Colonialism: an expansion of colonial territories with a focus on resource extraction, information is colonialized when it is sold back to the colonies for a price. Social class: population organized by means of production vs. working class, with relation to the means of productions, income level, and cultural class expectations. Spaces of consumption: where we go for entertainment, to shop and consume.
