Pollen grains develop: explain which specific parts of a flower develop into specific parts of a fruit. Horizontal direction w stomata on bottom/spongy mesophyll near for gas exchange. Palisade mesophyll on top so light can enter & photosynthesis can occur. Stomata only on top (b/c if on bottom water would prevent it from absorbing co2)
