Another construct relating back to one of my marketing courses as to why men eat more meat than women is because of one of hofstede"s framework. This theory suggests 5 dimensions, one of which includes masculine vs feminity. This dimension measures to the extent how nurturing a stimuli is. Nurturing is a term defined as for the encouragement of growth and development. Women are more inclined to support and foster animals as its part of their instincts/nature. Their gender role as being a female is primarily to produce and raise children, this is something they also see with animals and will ultimately influence their preference on eating less meat.
