Indigenous: being native to a certain place (plants, animals) Have specific set of rights based on historical ties to a territory. Refers to the pre-european contact peoples who populated the americas. Aboriginal: being native to a certain place (people only); refer to customs, self-identification. Sovereignty: right and power of a body to govern itself without interference from outside sources or bodies.
