Melt water comes from different sources including the super glacial lakes. It is a mixture of ice, rocks, and particles that moves under the influence of gravity. Folia is a layer which is formed from crystal deformation (sliding against a surface) which is made up of clear or bubble ice. It looks like alternating layers of fine grain and coarse grain. A stranded iceberg is when a piece of ice is broken off its original mass and floats off on its own.
