Since transnational corporations has used their influence to promote regime change when a government in some country has been viewed as threatening the interest of corporations. Other examples include the holocaust, challenger disaster, iran-contra affair, private contractor"s violations of environmental safety and health standards at government facilities. In a globalized world, need to focus on the global character of some white-collar crime. Anti-globalization movement contends large scale crimes carried out in the name of globalization and free trade (nafta). The harm occurs to farmers, merchants, and consumers in many countries when first world member states protect their own interests against free trade. Its focus is on specific sectors and occupations: occupational crime occurs when you are doing something illegal while doing your legal and legitimate job. It usually occurs in upper class occupations association with some level of status, prestige and trust.
