Socrates poses the question on what is justice. Many people attempt to answer the question but it comes at a deadlock. What are advantages: those who behave unjust gain power and become rulers of society, they are strong because they know they have the power. As the weak behave in accordance to the justice system. Socrates states virtue is healthy for the soul, therefore justice should be desirable because it is healthy. The state is to determine what is healthy for the soul and what to consume or not. (poison sheep metaphor) Being just is a suckers game, whenever you attempt to be just you don"t get anything in return. You lose much more yet it will make society happy. Principle of specialization: each person much perform a role that is best suited for themselves and not to meddle in anyone else"s business. Everything is to be done at the best ability and with the highest level.
