According to the two different ecological footprint calculators i would require approximately. 3. 86 planet earths to support my lifestyle (4. 1 from figure 1, 3. 56 from figure 2). The results were a little higher than i expected as i considered myself to be environmentally friendly as practice in recycling garbage and car pool or use public transport whenever possible. After taking these quizzes i realized i need to reduce my ecological footprint and that i only use resources that i need now to make sure we have resources left for the future. The first thing that i would do to reduce my carbon footprint is by reducing the amount of services that i use these include electricity, water and natural gas. I can accomplish this my installing energy-saving features to my home, some of these features are compact fluorescent lights that contain less mercury than traditional light bulbs.
