History: is a way of remembering the past and preserving it through writing, oral traditions, etc. Remember the past: oral traditions, statues, record of past events, remembered and preserved knowledge. Imagine the past: helps us see the world differently, gives us a sense of where you"re coming from and where you"re going. Offers a sense of prestige, connectivity, identity . We can learn rules and lessons from history. Provides a better understanding of the complexity of the world we live in. Gives us a sense of direction and place. What happens when we bring all 3 elements together? (imagining the past, understanding the past, and remembering the past)
