This study showed that there is a difference in human behaviour between males and females, thus displaying sexual dimorphism. Twenty-five males and twenty-five females were unknowingly observed on a university campus and their book carrying position was recorded. The procedure was then repeated with another twenty-five males and twenty-five females observing and recording leg crossing positon. The results displayed that more males carried their books with their elbows extended and more females carried their books with their elbows bent. In the second component of the experiment males were more males sat in a position with their knees not together and more females sat in a position with their knees touching. The results showed that there was a significant difference in both book carrying and leg crossing behaviours between the sexes.
