Visuel impairement: acuity: how good you can see from far, visual field: normal = 1800. Legal blindness: legal blindness: 20/200 (10o) or under with some visual correction, visual field: a tunnel under 10o field of vision. Total blindness: enable to recognize a strong light shown directly into your eye, over 80% have residual vision ( or over 20% totally blindness) Classification: b1 (the most severe): from total blindness to a very low residual vision. No light perception and inability to recognize a shape in any direction at any distance. Do sports like swimming, wrestling, and track with a guide: b2 (low residual vision): ability to recognize a shape. Acuity of 2/60 or field vision of 5o. Can do many activities independently: b3 (better residual vision): 2/60 to a 6/60 vision or field from 5-20o. Diabetic retinopathy: leading cause of blindness from 20 to 60 years, damage the tiny blood vessels inside the retina (damage non reversible)
