Dns is used to match a human-friendly text-based domain name to a computer- friendly number. You can choose your own dns server to use. The world wide web is a service that relies on the internet as its underlying foundation. Your browser profile collects your browsing history, cookies, etc. as you browse webpages. Clients make requests of servers; servers await and fulfill those requests. A server does not request cookies from a browser. Email is an example of communication that may or may not be web based. (you can use a program or app, not necessarily on the web but always connected to the internet) On any modern os, the firewall is already configured by default to deny unsolicited inbound connections from outside. A set of well-defined keywords and sequences necessary for two parties to know how to communicate. It lets you easily access your content on different devices.
