Two features drive cultural tourism products: attractions and access.
Attractions are demand generators that give the consumer a reason to
visit a destination.
)f demand generators do not exist, people will not visit, regardless
of how strong the access is.
Access provides a means to reach the destination or the product within
the destination.
)f access is poor, people will have difficulty visiting event if demand
is high.
The potential appeal of the product must exceed the potential cost
associated in time, money or effort to access it.
When considering the product potential of cultural tourism, managers
need to take into consideration the following wider issues.
1) considering the wider context 考虑更广泛的背景
2) understanding the asset in its setting 了解其设置中的资产
3) asset specific considerations: place and cultural spaces 资产特定考
虑因素:地点和文化空间
4) stakeholder and consultation issues 利益相关者和咨询问题
