Separation of html and css is important because it allows a single webpage to be presented in different ways like on laptop or on phone. Js files specify dynamic, interactive behavior; can respond to dom events (when a button is clicked), js contains code that will then change the display of the webpage. Document object model (dom) is a resource to construct an in-memory representation of the page; holds information about the layout and style of the webpage. Used to create, modify and query content & info on the web page display.
