Put another way, describe and analyze at least 10 ways we can be  affected by the way people in the US define, institutionalize, and interact in relation to race/racial categories. Be specific. The effects may be positive (racial privilege) or negative (racial disadvantage) or both. 

Aliens have finally made contact with Earth, and landed You have been tasked with explaining the concept of race, and the current state of race relations in this country, from your perspective. What would you say? Remember, they have no concept of our society. Also remember, it is your responsibility as a member of our classroom community to engage one another with civility. 

1 There are many stories of prejudice and discrimination within the history of the United States. Most famously are those referring to slaves as well as Native Americans. Define prejudice and discrimination. Provide specific examples of their use in history outside of the U.S. and in present day.
