Class-Fashion Design
Please provide a photo of the drawing. If someone can help that would be very appreciated :)
Step 1: Draw or Assemble an Ensemble
Draw one that is as conservative or outlandish as you wish. You can draw on paper and photograph your result or use design software to create it. If you don’t enjoy drawing, you can cut shapes out of colored paper or images from magazines and glue those onto a larger sheet of paper.
Step 2: Explain How Your Ensemble Follows (or Breaks) the Rules
Explain how your ensemble relates to each of these design elements and principles:
• Space
• Line
• Shape
• Form
• Texture
• Color
• Proportion
• Scale
• Balance
• Emphasis
• Rhythm
• Harmony
Write at least one sentence about each bullet point. You can write in a word processing document or on index cards. (If you use index cards, photograph them so you can submit them as part of the assignment.)
Step 3: Think about Purpose and Impact
On index cards or in your word processing document, answer these questions:
• What is the purpose of this ensemble?
How does the psychology of color affect this ensemble? In other words, what emotions or reactions is this outfit likely to evoke in people?
