When an object is placed 118 cm from a diverging thin lens, itsimage is found to be 59 cm from the lens. The lens is removed, andreplaced by a thin converging lens whose focal length is the samein absolute value as the diverging lens. This second lens is at theoriginal position of the first lens. Where is the image of theobject now?


The answer is equal to infinity. I need to understand the steps asto how to get this answer.
