two point charges are distanced d=47.5cm apart, they haveequal and opposite charge each with magnitude Q=6.11 µC. Thenegative charge is on the left, and the positive on the right. Anelectron (mass 9.11e-31kg, charge 1.6e-19C is placed halfwaybetween the charges.
a)The electric field at this point is?
b)The direction of the electric field is?
c)The force on the electron is?
To find a, I did E=F/q and got 2.69e19 N/C and it'swrong
for b, I chose to the right, toward the positive charge, andit's wrong
for c, I did F=Eq and I got 3.856e-14N and it's wrong
What am I doing wrong?

My attempt at solving,

(a) Well I am very confused by this problem so I dont think I amapproaching it right at all but here is what I tried.... E1 is theeffect that -q has on p and is equal to kq/(x+a)^2, E2 is theeffect that +q has on p and is equal to kq/(x-a)^2.... since p isto the right of E1 and E2 I did E1 + E2 = E which is the effectthat the dipole has on point p.... My answer was not right and I amconfused and not sure I am on the right track at all.... Any tipswould be great!
