The glass pyrex tube of a mercury thermometer has an insidediameter of 1.4 x 10-4 m. The mercury has a volume of 3 .15 x 10-7m3 at 0°C. Taking into account the expansion of the pyrex glass,how much will the mercury increase in height if the temperatureincreases to 20°C?
