A parallel plate capacitor consists of two square plates 2 cm on a side and seperated by a distance of 4mm. The capacitor is filled with a dielectric with dielectric constant k =40 .Determine 1) the energy required to charge the capacitor to 12 v , 2) the charge on the capacitor and 3) the electric field strength between the plates (neglecting fringing fields).
