A uniform electric field having a magnitude of 2x103 N/Cexists between the lower, positively charged, and upper, negativelycharged, plates shown where L=10.0cm and d=2.00cm. If an electronis “launched” from point “A” with a velocity of magnitude 6x106 m/sand direction of 45º, as indicated:
a) Which, if either, of the plates will the electronstrike?
b) If the electron strikes a plate, at what horizontaldistance to the right of “A” will the
impact occur?
Notes: Assume the effect of gravity on the electron?sacceleration is negligible and that the electron experiences only2-D motion.
