A transverse sinusoidal wave on a string has a period T=25msandtravels in the negative x direction with a speed of 30m/s. Att=0,an element of the string at x=0 has a transverse position of2cmand is traveling downward with a speed of 2m/s.

What is the Amplitude of the wave? What is the initialphaseangle?

I looked at the cramster solution for this but I am lostatpart a. I've tried using the equation y =Asin(kx+wt) and Isolvedfor k and w using the given information, but after realizingthatif I insert 2cm for y and 0 for x and t that I end up with 2cm= Asin(0) which is obviously dead ends me because you cant solvefor Afrom there.

Any Ideas? Please explain steps, it seems that cramsterusedsome variation of the transverse acceleration equation to solveforA, but I'm not entirely sure why (and when I did it, I stillendedup with 0 times A equaling something)
