Ok in high school i was taught PEMDAS. You do the parentheses 1st, which 1+2= 3 however the parentheses never leave. Now u have to divide 6÷2 which is 3, 3 (3) is 9 right? so why are people on facebook getting 1 and telling me im wrong? Their really making me mad telling me my high school algebra I teacher is incompetent, of teaching the proper method. can someone please clear this up for me thanks.
