A trough is to be made from half a cylinder by removing 1/2 of the lateral surface, and half of each of the ends, and then welding the removed end pieces back into the trough. Assuming that they want to know the maximum volume possible given 14 (meters squared) of material, determine an equation that could be used by Desmond (or other graphing applications) to find the optimal value.
