Ethyl alcohol may be dehydrated to ethylene by action of acatalyst. Since ethylene is a gas, it is not generally collected inthat form, but is instead brominated. Starting with 9.2 g of ethylalcohol and an excess of bromine, calculate the amount ofdibromoethane that would be obtained if the reaction proceeded inthe 75% yield.
