I am having trouble figuring out the reactions in my extraction of caffeine lab. Can you please draw out the structures for the reactants and products for me, or confirm if there is no reaction, between the following? I'll try to explain it the best I can. Thank you so much!

1) instant coffee + NaOH (near boiling temp)

2) product from #1 + dichloromethane

3) after centrifuging and pulling off dichloromethane; dichloromethane + CaCl2

4) after decanting the extract(we now have an extract and a crude product); extract + a few drops of dichloromethane

5) the crude product we get after decanting; crude product + ligroin + 2-propanol

6) washing product from #5; #5 product + cold ethanol/MTBE
