QUESTIONS:

1. calculate the concentration of standard iron (II) solutiong that you made in the lab, in units of milligrams of iron per litre.

2. provide a table that lists the concentration of iron (II) in units of milligrams of iron per litre, and the measured absorbances, for the solution in test tube 2 - 5. provide sample calculations for test tube 2.

3. plot absorbances versus iron (II) concentration for your five standard concentrations (i.e a graph like figure 2d). Add a line of best fit (i.e a trend line) and provide the equation for the line and the R^2 value (display graph or write below graph) your slope should have at least three significant figures nad your intercept should have at least three decimal places.

4. use your line of best fit to determine the concentration of iron (II) in the solution in test tube 6 (the vitamin solution) in units of milligrams per litre. determine the concentration of iron (II) in the 100mL solution that you prepared

5. determine the mass iron, in units of milligram, in the vitamin tablet that you have analyzed. calculate the percent discrepancy between the value you determined and the value listed on the bottle.

6. list your primary source of error in the value of the iron content that contribute to the percent discrepancy you calculated in Question 5. support your answer. stick to what is confirmable and what is recorded in your observations . if you need to speculate, stick to reasonable and logical explanations. do not discuss factors that have little or no effect on your results. be consise!

7. what changes would you make to your experimental procedure that would improve the accuracy and confidence level to your result?
