I am have trouble with doing the calculation for my lab I have a basic idea of what needs to be done, but I think I am confused on how to plug in / use the values that we found.

it was a lab on stochiometry and the reaction of zince and iodine

Iodine was the limiting

Zn: 65.41 g/mole

Iodine:253.8 g/mole

_Zn(s)+_I2(s)-->_ZnI2(s)

trial 1

tube 1 empty weighed: 24.43g

(2.00 g zinc was added and 2.00 iodine)

after recation : 25.92g

25.92g-24.43g=1.49g mass of remaining zinc

250mL beaker empty with chip: 106.92g

after: 109.29g

109.29g-106.92g=2.37g mass of zinc iodiede produce

trial 2

tube 2 empty:33.42 g

(1.7 g iodine and 2.00g zinc)

after: 34.98g zinc remaing

34.98g-33.42g=1.56g zinc remaing

trial 3

tube 3 empty: 24.42g

( 1.40g iodine and 2.00 zinc)

after :26.06g

26.06g-24.42g=1.64g of zinc remaing

I need help finding Moles of reacted Iodine, moles of reacted zinc, and the molar ration of reacted Zn:I2 for each trial.

then I know I take the average I need to then find the coefficients for the chemical equation which I am not sure if I undertand how to do that with the average.

I also need to figure out the percent yield of zinc iodiede

then for trial 1 i need the mass of zinc consumed

mass of iodine consumed and

the mass of Zinc iodided consumed

I am just super stuck on how to take what i have and plug it in
