I am given the two equations:
Cl2(g)+F2(g) 2ClF(g)
ClF(g)+F2(g) ClF3(g)

Question:
a) Write overall equation
b) Show that the overall Kc equals the product oftheKc's for the individual steps

Results:
a) Cl2(g)+3F2(g) 2ClF3(g)

- My professor gave me this answer but he showed no steps onhow toget to that. When i tried to solve it i was cancelingtheF2's out. This does not seem to be the way to solveit.Could you explain how he got that?

b)K1=[ClF]2/[Cl2][F2]
K2=[ClF3]/[ClF][F2]
KT=K1x K2=[ClF3]/[Cl2][F2]3

- I did not know how to get the overall equation from question asothis might be why i do not understand this result. Couldyouexplain in steps why this is?
