Degree of Unsaturation aka Index of Hydrogen Deficiency (tell me how you can determine whether there are pi bonds/rings, how do you know how many pi bonds; also how do Oxygen, Nitrogen and Halogens change the hydrogen count; what formula can you use to account for all these effects ; watch the first 15 minutes, 15 seconds) This is going to help you draw the molecule based on the molecular formula and spectroscopy
