**EDIT**

you are suppoed to find Kf through the graphs, but if thats not possible, then use 3.9 as Kf.

Hey guys,

So I did a lab where we combined 1.014 g of unknown combined with Lauric acid which was 8.004 g, mixed both in mortal and pestle, melted them and then put them in room temperature water level untill they became solids and the temperature leveld out, here is the graph for both trials.

So I am first asked to determine the freezing point of the solution in order to determine the molar mass of the unknown solute. Esentialy what I am being asked here is to use the freezing point of the solution in order to find the molar mass of the unknown and then compare that molar mass to the actual mass of benzoic acid which is 122.12 g and then calcute my percent error from that value.

So to sum it up

1. Find freezing point of both graphs

2. Average that freezing point between the two by adding the two freezing points and dividing them by 2

3. Calculte molar mass of unknown using the averaged freezing point

4. Find percent error from the determine molar mass using 122.12 as actual value of benzoic acid
