Please help! I am having trouble locating the L Ala, D Glu, m-DAP, etc. I am familiar with peptide bondage, and the R groups of alanine, glutamic acid. These can't correct/exact peptide bonds can they??? where is the glutamic acid? is it in the middle? Is it's R group carboxylic acid participating in peptide bond rather than the alpha carboxylic acid in the amino acid backbone, as is the customary??
