I do not understand 3.c and 3.d ..
please show me step by step...
thanks...
3. A student made multiple measurements to determine the density of an unknown liquid. a. The student weighed an empty graduated cylinder and then added her unknown to it. She read the volume of the liquid to be 3.50 ml. The mass of the empty cylinder was 352 gt The mass of the cylinder with the liquid was 39.456 g i. What is the mass of the liquid in the cylinder? ii. What is the density of the liquid? iii. How many significant figures should she have for: l. The mass of the liquid? Why? 2. The density of the liquid? Why? b. The student adds more of her unknown liquid to the cylinder. The new mass of the cylinder and liquid are 41.447 g. The new volume of the liquid is 5.77 mL. What is the density of her new sample? c. The theoretical density of her liquid is 0.857 g/mL. i. Determine the average density of her two samples. ii. Calculate the experimental error using the average of her two samples. d. The student plotted her data and found the y-intercept of the best fit line is 36.383 g and its slope to be 0.855 g/mL. Using the formula y mx b, write the equation for this line.
