The activation energy for the decomposition of HI(g) toH2(g) and I2(g) is 186kJ/mol. The rateconstant at 555 Kelvin is 3.52 x 10-7M-1s-1. What is the rateconstant at 645 Kelvin?
I already know the answer: 9.5 x 10-5M-1s-1.
But when i try to work it out, i'm getting an answer of 9.8 x10-5 M-1s-1
So i'm thinking it has something to do with my significantfigures.. but im not sure.
Please show me how to get the correct answer so i know what i'mdoing wrong.
