at I need to determine thestructure of the molecule from the above spectral data. Heres whatI think I have so far.

The mass ion on the mass spec is 179 so that gives me theformula weight of the molecule to be 179. Since its odd that meansit will contain a nitrogen.

The IR spec, im thinking shows these peaks-

N-H at 3400

C-H weak at 3200-3000

an aromatic ring at about 1650

and either a c=o or c=n around 1500 -1600

The fingerprint region is pretty crowded, and Im not sure how tointrepret that.

From the NMR i see that there will be 13 H's in the molecule.But im having a really hard time with this part. Is the NMR showingme the aromatic h's at 7 in the 4h- 2 doublet peak?

the 1h broad singlet at 8 means that its a pretty shelided h,would that be somethign connected off the aromatic and next to anitro or oxy subsituent?

Is the 2 H multiplet aroud 4, my viniyllic H's in the aromaticring?

ANd im thinking the 3H peak around 1.5 is a methylsubsituent.

From the C13 data i see 8 different lines which indicates 8different types of carbons. I think the peaks from 110 to 135indicate 3 alkene carbons, the peak around 60 to be an allyiccarbon and the two peaks around 15-25 to be methyl and CH2 groups.Are my peaks at 150 and 170 carbon attached to nitro or oxys?

I guess I need some adivce on how you tackle these problems.Obviously you need to have the data anaylzed correctly, and Im notsure if I have done that correctly. Please help. Thanks
