I inserted my question as a picture instead. I didnt know how to write out the equations here. Find the principal unit normal vector to the parameter. R(t) = ti + (6/t)j, t = 2 So i find T(t) using = r'(t) / ||r'(t)|| and i get Substituting t = 2 i ge and that sort of where i get stuck. I know i need to find N(t) using = T1(t) / ||T'(t)|| But after doing all the math i get a wrong answer. I also tried the short cut but how do i know which sign to change, x or y? Studying for finals so if you can help explain this it would be greatly appreciated.
