Document Summary

Magnetism is the force exerted by magnets when they attract or repel each other. A magnet always has two pole north poles and south poles. The north pole is attracted by south pole. But when we flip then north pole will repel north pole. Because the pole kept facing each other the lines of forces are in opposite directions. There are two type of magnet: permanent magnet and induced magnet. Permanent magnet is an object that produces a magnetic field. Any object that can influenced by magnetic field , has an potential to become magnet. Induced magnet only has a temporary magnetic field. The force between parament and induced magnet will always be attractive. The region around a magnet where the force of attraction or repulsion can be detected is called magnetic field. Magnetic field can be detected by using magnetic compass.
