MS 131 Lecture Notes - Dan-Air, Linear Regression, Regression Analysis
Document Summary
There are several ways to perform a linear regression analysis, starting with using x-based variables or y-based variables as the basis will determine which type of equation to use. In this case we will discuss linear regression with baseline x as the independent variable and the y line as the independent variable. Linear regression is a data analysis technique that is able to predict data values that cannot be known using other data values or using experimental data values which sometimes deviate from the actual results. There are independent variables, especially on the y axis, namely 3, 4, 5, 1, 2, 1, 4, 6, 8. From these data, the data obtained from the experimental results are too random or too impossible to predict, as a result the graph becomes incomplete and the equation obtained will be a bit difficult or complicated.
