Document Summary

Well, there are multiple factors that contribute to the orientation of matter. These factors include the ability of matter to melt, freeze, evaporate, as well as condensate and sublimate. These factors are known as the properties of matter. Depending on the property of matter, the state of the matter will vary. Liquids take their shape and form due to melting in addition to condensation. Melting is a process that causes a substance to change from a solid to a liquid. When melting occurs, molecules that are within a solid start to increase their speed to which they are able to move past each other and thus transform into a liquid. Condensation is a process of converting vapor into liquid. This can be due to air being cooled to a dew point as well as air becoming saturated with water vapor to which it cannot hold any more water.
