Document Summary

Reflection on what you learned by completing the teaching cycle project. Part 9 page one of three: discuss your knowledge gained regarding the student"s phonemic awareness (sound/letter). Include best methods to further develop this student"s phonemic awareness. Share specific sounds/letters to teach for the next two future lessons. (you may need to consider long vowels sounds which may extend to diphthongs and to consonant digraphs. ) In the beginning of my mini sessions of my teaching-instruction, i assessed my student"s current level of academic understanding. Between the letters o, u, l, q and n, that timothy answered incorrectly for his sound/letter responses, i realized that he was familiar with the sounds and letters of each one. Though, what he mainly struggled with was the differences between the uppercase and lowercase letters. However, throughout this particular teaching cycle, i gained a lot of knowledge and understanding, regarding my student and the term phonemic awareness .
