In this journal, you will recall a communication error that you committed in a professional or work setting. Focus your journal on the things you said, the way you said them, and the nonverbal cues you gave that ended up creating a situation that did not go at all like you intended. Specifically, the following rubric criteria must be addressed: identify a situation in which your communication style/approach caused a breakdown in communication with another person, briefly describe the situation. I recently had an incident where there was a miscommunication with not just one person, but myself and a group of people. One of my two jobs is working as an assistant director for a women"s recovery house. I engage with several ladies in all stages of their sobriety. I frequently must set boundaries and have uncomfortable conversations. Lately i have had an issue with the women not being fond of the way that i talk to them.
