The term "workplace violence" refers to any kind of violence, whether it be verbal abuse, emotional abuse, or physical abuse, that occurs in the workplace or on the job. The workplace violence segmentation classifies workplace violence according to the connection between the victim and the offenders. There are four types of violence within a workplace. First is type i, this violence is related with any criminal acts. This type of violence applies to the context within an early childhood learning center because there are sometimes unfortunate criminal acts such as intent to kidnap children, possibly blackmailing parents, employees of the child center, etc. Second is type ii, this violence is also perpetrated by non-organizational members, is often unrelated to other types of criminal acts. Third is type iii, this violence is often performed by "insiders" of an organization. And lastly, type iv, this violence which is perpetrated by the victim"s spouse or partner.
