Further research is needed to determine precisely why certain religions breed violence and conflict, while most religions try to instill love and peace for their followers. There are ethical considerations that must be taken into account. An example would be 9/11; american"s were scared and angry. Because of this, we started to stereotype and label any individuals that didn"t look american, especially people from the middle east. United states who were muslim were fearing for their lives; we didn"t care that their religion"s doctrine was peaceful; these individuals were thought to be islamic extremist"s just because of the way they looked. Since religious conflict and violence first began, religion is used as a weapon to elicit violence and war.
