You can"t help but look at the history of women and be in awe and shock at the same time. Reading about women"s struggles in the beginning and what they went through, it is hard to understand their struggle. Today, some women make comments about living back then and that they wouldn"t have just stood by and accepted their place in the world. They would have fought back and not allowed the mistreatment, sexism, and gender imbalance to happen. Women could influence change through their cunningness and wit, and then something wonderful happened; the italian. Societal roles began shifting from the previous beliefs that women were inferior to men in capacity and thought; this was the beginning of change for women that continued throughout the centuries. This journal will discuss how gender ideology impacts women"s creative expression and illustrate examples of creative women from the renaissance period. I will explain how a woman"s nature and role impacted their work.
