As a religion, buddhism is based on spirituality and peace all of which are taught by. Recently i visited a buddhist temple and the experience is still vivid. While i was driving towards the temple, i clearly saw the building because of its distinctive design and shape. Once i was at the compound of the temple, i observed changes in the environment. The serenity theme is the temple and its surroundings are well designed, which is meant to bring inner and outer peace. Basically, the temple is designed such that there is a worship hall where believers congregate to worship and a meditation hall for some quiet time individually. Prior to entering the temple, there are a number of rituals i observed. After which i was required to remove shoes. I observed that meditation is a key part of the religion. The buddhist taught believers that they could end suffering by cutting out ignorance, greed, and hatred.
