Math 3a lec k: intro linear algbra (44500) Linear algebra and its applications, david c. lay, 5th edition, addison-wesley. I will be available in my office rh410u on mondays, wednesdays, and fridays from 12:30-1:30 pm and by appointment. It is in the students best interest to complete or attempt the homework problems, as the tests will largely resemble the homework problems. Quizzes will be given each week in discussion at the discretion of the ta. Quizzes will cover material from the previous week, and the lowest of these scores is dropped. The first midterm will cover chapters 1. 1-1. 9, 2. 1-2. 3, and 6. 1 and is scheduled for october 22nd. The second midterm will cover chapters 3. 1-3. 3, 4. 1-4. 7, and is scheduled for november 16th. The final exam will be cumulative, and is scheduled for december 10th, during finals week. The quizzes are worth a combined 20%, the midterms are each worth 25%, and the final exam is worth.
