It involves more than what is meant when you say someone has a lot of personality. Personality refers to the characteristic patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior of an individual along with the psychological mechanisms behind the patterns. Personality is a system of enduring, inner characteristics that contribute to the consistency of a person"s behavior. And the study of personality, personality psychology, is interested in both the psychological differences and the psychological similarities among people. It addresses how people think, how they feel, and how they behave, separately and in combination with each other.
